Sunrise Agra Fuels had diverted its energies in 2007 to building its own facility to manufacture a quality product. We were unable to find a manufacture that could blend the type of ingredients that we needed to use and make an economical high quality pellet. Sunrise Agra Fuels is committed to setting up a new 'state of the arts' plant in Bird Island, MN that will open in 2008. We now are working towards capitalizing the facility. We truly wish that we could have been in the market this winter. We have learned so much and truly enjoyed providing an alternative fuel for our customers. With the new plant we will be able to provide a more economical product in the future that will be even better than our "Island Pellet". Sunrise Agra Fuels produces agricultural biomass pellets from environmentally renewable resources. Since they are made from plants that uptake CO2, they are considered to be carbon neutral. Our pellets are made from 100% renewable ingredients and by using them we can decrease our dependance on fossil fuels. [more] Sunrise Agra Fuel's Island Pellets contain a higher energy concentration per pound than shell corn. They ignite easily and do not form "clinkers". There is minimal feed value for rodents to feed on ( they would probably starve eating pellets) and do not attract them. There are no "bees wings" so our pellets are not messy. The Island Fuel Pellets contain about 15% more heat per pound than shell corn. Our pellets are low moisture which maxamizes energy output. This means you carry LESS fuel and get MORE heat.
