It is a biomass product made of renewable substances – generally recycled wood waste or agricultural residue. One bag of pellet fuel equals 2.3 gallons of oil, 3.5 gallons of LP gas, or one ton equals 1 1/2 cords of wood.  [more] Sunrise Agra Fuel's Island Pellets contain a higher energy concentration per pound than shell corn. They ignite easily and do not form "clinkers". There is minimal feed value for rodents to feed on (they would probably starve eating pellets) and the rodents are not attracted to the pellets. There are no "bees wings" so our pellets are not messy. The Island Fuel Pellets contain about 15% more heat per pound than shell corn. Our pellets are low moisture which maxamizes energy output.
